On Android how do you show or hide the status/notification bar on demand e.g. when the orientation changes to landscape, hide the status/notification bar?

  • You can use full screen property of window. Make full screen true when you need to hide status bar and full screen false when you want to show status bar.

  • Yes but you have to declare that before you open the window, what about when the window is already open?

This will hide the status / actionBar

win.addEventListener('open', function(){ // Grab the window's action bar instance and call the hide method win.activity.actionBar.hide(); });
