Change button color on iOS?

You can easily change the button-colors (iPad) of ButtonBars by applying style:Titanium.UI.iPhone.SystemButtonStyle.BAR to it.

However when you do that for Buttons it adds an arrow-icon to the button and it doesn't look like it should. So how do I change a buttons color?

Fake it :) Create a buttonBar with one label only, and set to this the backgroundColor.

  • That's what I did. Works like a charm. Still I'd prefer a clean way.

  • I think it's a limitation of iOs.

  • I understand that some things don't work because Titanium uses the native controls and still prefer it this way.

For buttons, you would change the backgroundColor property in order to update the button color.

  • For me all that changes is the background behind the button (i'm on the iPad). The button itself remains white.
