Hi,
pretty much as title, cheap and cheerful as I wont be using it as my daily driver, just want it to have all the functions for testing, with a screen and processing power that is representative of the general android scene at the moment,

so no one uses android devices for testing, that they can recommend??
Hi Robert, i used with successfully HTC Hero with Android 2.1. I used also Samsung Galaxy ( the best android device here at the moment imho). The most important staff to keep in mind is the Android installed on the device, so try to keep one updated. (Sumsung will update in September/october to Android Froyo 2.2. You should have it to develop on.

HTC Hero as well. I think a medium powered device will give you a more realistic result then a beast. Not all of your users will have the latest device.
