error loading pdf into webview

Hi,

I get

[ERROR] Couldn't determine the proper encoding. Make sure this file: The_iPad_App_Wave.pdf is UTF-8 encoded.

when loading a pdf into a webview. I think the message doesn't tell the real problem, since it also appears when using the pdf used in KitchenSink. Any hints?

There is a google viewer that works for .pdf "http://docs.google.com/viewer?embedded=true&url="Your URL Here" see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7403415/android-problem-in-using-the-google-pdf-viewer-in-webview

  • I actually stopped caring, I just open the pdf's in safari now (through openURL), they are hosted online anyway... BUT thanks for the solution, I might need it some other day.

Bummer, I am not even opening any pdf and still get the message. Any solution to this?
