Mobile Web Problems

Hi everyone,

I'm having some problems converting an iOS project to mobile web. From the documentation I've read, it seems like I just have to check the mobile web box in tiapp.xml. When I do that, and then try to preview the project, I get the error "TypeError: 'Undefined' is not an object". I have no idea what this means. The same project works fine on iPhones and iPads, but I can't even get the first screen to open up for mobile web. Very frustrating. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Mobile Web does not support any of the iPhone specific namespaces. If you reference, for example, iPhone.ActivityIndicatorStyle, you will get the error you are getting. There are two solutions to find and fix the issues you are seeing. The first is to use a desktop browser and debug the app, as outlined here. You can also use the new Titanium Code Processor as outlined here, although I should note that the code processor is still in beta.

    • Thanks, Bryan. I'll go through my code looking for iPhone specific coding.
