I am now authorized to use the new AmazonMaps API but just started trying to set it up. Anyone have any experiences doing so?

I found: "With the Amazon Maps API, you can add interactive maps to your apps for most Kindle Fire tablets and delight users with custom overlays. Sign up now to request access." Are you sure to be in the right Q&A? by the way: the new maps API for the new iOS is compatible to the old.
