I am trying to run a fresh install on Windows 7. I searched and searched the web and cannot find an answer. When I launch Titanium I get Java was started but returned exit code=13. I have tried everything I have found on this subject and still am unable to run Titanium. I really want to use Titanium but need some expert help.
Are you running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Java? On Windows, you need to use the 32-bit version. See http://docs.appcelerator.com/titanium/2.1/index.html#!/guide/Setting_up_Titanium_Studio-section-30086257_SettingupTitaniumStudio-OracleJDK
Also, where do you have Java installed. A quick search shows some people having troubles with directories named with special characters. For example, see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6166795/eclipse-crashes-at-startup-exit-code-13
Thank you very much. I have spent many hours on this problem. Thanks to Tim for the info about special characters. There was a pound sign # in the application path. I installed in a different directory and all is well. Thank You Thank You Thank You
