View is empty after video selection/compression- low memory?

I have a video uploading facility in my app. I run it in a modal window- once it's complete, I close the window. But the view underneath the modal window is then completely empty- I can only assume that iOS is emptying it out to free up memory for video compression. But Appcelerator offers me no warnings/ways to handle this. Does anyone have any ideas?

  • This is a pretty strong assumption, especially if you are expecting a warning or a way to handle it. I've never seen anything like this, so the best thing you can do is to create a small example that duplicates the issue that you are having so that if your are correct in your assumption, then it will be easier to provide a fix. But expecting a 'way to handle' something that you are only assuming is happening is a bit obtuse.
