run http server using javascript

Hello everyone

I hope to run a http server to receive request from other device. On java or objective-c it is easy. Wonder if there is a simple solution(not nodejs)

  • In as you did not specify the mobile OS you were intending to target, and in as you actually mentioned objective-c, and in as Mr Saunders gave you a solution that answered your incomplete question, I'm going to politely suggest you remark his answer as correct.

    By marking him correct, then essentially modifying your question after the fact, runs contrary to the nature of the Q&A format and will most undoubtably affect your ability to seek aid in the future.

what will you be running on the server? php?

My https://marketplace.appcelerator.com/apps/2723?2058642563 module will do what your looking for. At the moment though it only supports iOS and not android. As of this time there is no plans for an android version however I do freelance work so if it's something you need im sure we can work something out.
