MobileWeb and Firefox/IE

I have been doing some development and testing with MobileWeb 2.1.1GA (and just tested with the latest master branch) and everytime I try to make an ACS call using firefox (on Win 7 or Mac) or IE as my browser, I get the error 'Cannot connect to host'. The same code works from Chrome (Win 7 and Mac) or Safari (Mac Only).

Does anyone know if there is something that needs to be done to have this work properly with those browsers?

  • Are you using a web server like the one built into Titanium Studio or loading the Mobile Web app via the file:// protocol? There are known issues with using file:// and we currently require you to use a real web server even for development purposes.
