Current status of the 'new' Titanium Desktop?

Hey guys,

Recently i've read the article of the future of Ti-Desktop and browsed through the google-group. Unfortunately, i didn't get wheather there are planed releases or timelines or names or links or resources.

So can someone from the Staff bring light to the dark? I don't know alternatives for the purpose of Ti-Desktop, so it would still be my first choice.

Thank you!

Ti Desktop is no longer an Appcelerator project. The community has taken the project over and its new name is TideSDK. I believe they have a current working version based on 1.2 RC4. You can see the project in its current form here: TideSDK.org

Indeed. You can download 1.2.0.RC4 to begin with. A 1.3.0-beta will be out shortly with upgrades of major libraries to support tOSX Lion, Mountain Lion, Ubuntu 12.04 and Windows 7 and 8. The documentation effort is coming along great for the 1.3.0 release that you can view here:

You should be seeing our new branding just about everywhere soon and our site has also begun its transformation at http://tidesdk.org

Ahh ok, thank you! Thats what i was looking for! The last thing i need to know is, wether it can be implemented in the Titanium Studio or needs to be included in the 'outdated' Titanium Developer app which i cannot found! :(

  • when responding to an answer, please use the comment feature, it makes the thread easier to read. TideSDK is used with Ti Studio. That info along with any other info you will need is on the project website.
