No android SDK found error

Hello everyone,

I am new to titanium studio IDE. I am trying to create a simple hello world project. When the project is being created there is an error message that comes up and says no android SDK found.

For a screenshot of the error click here

What do I need to do in order to get my project up running? Is there a specific configuration that I have to do manually or did the android not installed properly?

Help is very much appreciated thanks.

Sincerely Jona

  • Hi Jonathan,

I think in your android sdk you don't have android-8 which is located in your platform folder try to download new Android SDK and check again.

You need to set the path of your android sdk from your titanium studio. For this go to prferences->Titanium Studio->Titanium and set path of android sdk in Android SDK Home field. I hope this will solve your problem.

  • i think the problem is in selecting titanium sdk in Titanium SDK home field.Just choose the path ~/Library/Application Support/Titanium.This link may be helpful for you http://developer.appcelerator.com/question/120990/titanium-mobile-sdk-could-not-be-found-in-titanium-studio-mac-osx

  • I checked out that link however I'm still having the same problem. I am new to the Mac operating system so I'm not very good on getting around. I think you're right it is the path of the titanium SDK. I set the path that you mentioned above and I went to the link you provided. However, it is still giving me an error keeps telling me that it is not the correct path. When I downloaded titanium studio it was installed in the default directory.
