No Toolbar Buttons in Titanium Studio

I've just installed Titanium Studio (2.1.0) for the first time. I'm brand new to this. I'm following the "Get Started" Tutorial, and it is referencing the toolbar buttons to click, but there's no toolbar buttons (Example here). There's toolbar buttons on the App Explorer window, Process Explorer window, etc. but no main toolbar buttons. Is there a way to bring them up? Can't seem to find the command to bring it up.

This is the result of a new simplified UI--the dashboard should have come up automatically on launch.

There are two ways to get to the buttons. To just get to the Dashboard, use: Help > Titanium Studio > Show Titanium Dashboard

To make the buttons reappear: Window > Show Toolbar

I must have looked at that menu 5 times and didn't see it. I'm an idiot today.

Thanks much!

Is there any way to make them appear by default? So I don't have to keep clicking "Show Toolbar" every time I load the Studio?

Thanks!

  • Hi Robin,

I reproduced the issue and opened a ticket in http://jira.appcelerator.org/browse/TISTUD-2778. For a workaround, you could switch to use the "Studio (extended) perspective from Window > Open Perspective menu.

  • That worked a treat! Thanks Michael! :-D

Just for completeness on this thread, here is what Michael said to do:

"After making toolbar visible, switch to extended Studio perspective, then restart Studio. After that, switch back to simple perspective and the toolbar will persist afterward."
