I've been researching this for a few hours now, in the documentation, kitchen sink, Q&A and through some experimenting. Before I conclude that this is no minor oversight by Appcelerator and sigh and scratch my head, I thought I'd ask here to make certain.
Can you get longitude and latitude from a click on the map (without doing some pixel/map zoom/X, Y math) at the position of the click?
I love appcelerator and won't stop using the product but if this is really missing and people have been complaining about it for years, I'm shocked! Seems like such an integral part of Maps.

there is a module in the market place that addresses this I believe.
