Android Touch Screen not working

Hy, I just encountered the following problem while I was testing my application with the Titanium Studio emulator : touch screen only works with Titanium SDK lower than 1.7.2. I'm using Titanium Studio build 2.0.1.201204132053, Titanium SDK 2.0.1.GA2 (Android Runtime V8) and Google APIs Android 4.0.3. If I use Titanium SDK 1.7.2 touch screen works just fine, but if I try with a newer version of the SDK it does't work. On my computer I have Ubuntu 11.10 with Linux Kernel 3.3. Is there anyone else who has my same problem with touch-screen? HELP!!!!

Often when a touch event is not registering as one would expect, there is another view's event handler that is intercepting the event because of overlay/zindex conflicts.

In 2.0.1, the layout defaults for most of the UI items has changed, which may place a newly added object in front of an existing item. Titanium 2.0 Layout Changes

  • Thanks, but the problem is that the touchscreen doesn't work with any version of Titanium SDK which is higher than 1.7.2. That's not only a problem that I found using the last SDK version (2.2), but also for previous versions.

  • Ok, then you need to explain by "touchscreen" is not working then. Be specific. Post code for the objects you are having problems with.

  • I was probably not clear enough. What I meant is that using the same code, the touch screen only works if you use a version of the titanium sdk less than 1.7.2. If I try the same code with a sdk version from 1.8 to 2.2, it does not work, so I think the code is correct and that the error is somewhere else, but I don't know where it could be!!!
