Can I play some music source in App?

I want to play some audio(sound?) at the same time in my App. It's sound like some piano key pushed, or some instrumental played in the same time.

I think midi is good format for this purpose. So I want to know module(API?) to send midi signal to iPhone device.

Or...Is there another way to play sound(s)?
