I heard that in Android 2.2 Froyo Google added support for V8 JS in the browser. I am wondering if Titanium could make use of V8? It is much faster than Rhino and is also faster than iOS JavaScriptCore.

As I always say, anything is possible, but this might require a feature request. Head over to Jira and put in a feature request, please be as specific as possible.
