Hi, i want to know if it's possible to open an other app when i click on a button in my app. I want to open the app Sygic (GPS navigator) when i click on a button.
To do this, the app must have registered a custom url scheme. Just like the Navigon example, some apps have an application url that can be used to launch the app from other locations on the device. Here is a list of popular apps with registered urls: http://wiki.akosma.com/IPhone_URL_Schemes
So, for instance, the Facebook url is "fb://", to launch that in your code, you would simply do this:
Titanium.Platform.openURL('fb://profile');Nothing complicated or C involved, the app you wish to launch just needs to have one of these custom url schemes.
I think there is a way of doing it but its complex and you need to do it in C, its not a feature of Titanium.
If it helps... Navigon GPS app allows you to open it using navigon URL
navigon://coordinate/Some nice place/9.937156/49.800074See: http://www.navigon.com/portal/common/faq/files/NAVIGON_AppInteract.pdf
This would be a miles easier solution to your problem, only downer is that Navigon is not free :(
