I am using the ti.tvout module but am finding that it is crashing my app a lot. It also seems to freeze the picture on the external screen a lot.
I am testing with an iPad 1 at the moment and the iPad simulator. Both of these seem to crash when I turn on the display.
In the simulator, if I start up my app and then turn on the TVOut display from the iOS Simulator menus, the app crashes out to the home screen.
On the iPad 1 the same thing occurs. I find that it either crashes or freezes. Therefore, the use of the module seems very unreliable and I cannot use it at present.
The TV out module was one of the main reason for investing as an Indie developer for my company so I am very disappointed that I am unable, at present, to deliver the app as I need.
Has anyone else encountered the problems? Are there any UI constraints in using it or should it really just be providing an output of whatever I put on the screen? My UI is nothing out of the ordinary. I am using a split window with tabGroup and webview.
Count another frustrated indie here.
I have exactly the same issue. And tried a lot of different workarounds. None worked.
This 0.1 module is just not ready for production. And to think this module was my reason to apply to indie... Its just sad.
Same problem on iPad 2, using a scrollview, very slow, sometimes it freezes and some imageviews disapear...
