Titanium SDK 2.1.1 is Live

Well folks, it’s the end of the month and time for another Titanium SDK release. The most exciting thing about Release 2.1.1 is, well… How unexciting it is. When we started releasing monthly service packs, the plan was that each service pack would contain a limited number of bug fixes and enhancements, with a minimum of new features. Release 2.1.1 is exactly that, so forgive us if we’re just a little bit excited about it.

This release fixes just under 30 issues in the core SDK. For a complete list of fixes, see the release notes.

Outside of the core SDK, there are a couple of other highlights here:

  • The Kitchen Sink sample has been completely refactored to a single-context application model based on CommonJS.
  • The Ti.Cloud module now has support for the ACS Friends, Events, Files, and Messages APIs.

Updating the Mobile SDK

You should be prompted to automatically upgrade your Titanium Mobile SDK from within Titanium Studio. If you do not see the prompt below, you can manually check for updates by selecting “Check for Titanium SDK Updates” from the “Help” menu within Titanium Studio.

The Release 2.1 documentation page has been updated to reflect changes in Release 2.1.1, as well as the usual documentation updates and corrections.

@Paul we won’t officially support Mountain Lion until about a month after its release, but we have reports of 2.1.1 working fine with Xcode 4.4 (the latest on ML).
